How are you? I hope life is treating you well and you're keeping safe during these crazy times.

It's been a relaxing-ish month for me, which is weird. After two years of writing pretty much every day, I took some time off! It's done wonders for my brain to have a little break, and I'm looking forward to getting back in the writing cave next week. I used my break to travel a little around the South Island of New Zealand with my family, it's been delightful.

As for writing projects, Seeing Red is done and dusted, ready for release day. Feedback from ARC readers has been great so far, Ria and Lou's friendship is a big part of this book and early readers seem to love their banter! You can also expect plenty of steam in this book — there's a spicy teaser below.

I'll be spending the next couple of weeks with Fi and the guys, working on bonus content for the Empath Found box set. It's been a minute since I've hung out with these characters, and I'm excited to head back to Avalon.

Seeing Red will be out next week! Let's celebrate with a long teaser — this one is from Nate's POV, and it kicks off my favourite scene in the book 😘

“It’s not less dangerous now because you know what it means, Lou. If anything, it’s more dangerous. Both the cougar and the man are more attached to you than ever.”

“You’re going to need to stop saying the romantic stuff if you’re trying to keep me out of your pants,” Lou groused, inching forward on my lap like her clit was being magnetically drawn to my erection.

“Lou…” I warned, my fingers flexing against her legs, making no attempt to halt her progress.

“What if I tied you up?” she suggested, a mischievous look in her eyes. “Obviously, you have superhuman strength and could get away if you really wanted to, but maybe that would keep you grounded.”

That wasn’t a terrible idea.

“Alright,” I agreed slowly. “I have a necktie in my bag, you could tie my hands to the headboard. But if there’s even a hint of me losing control or my canines extend, you have to promise me you’ll stop and leave,” I warned her.

“Trust me, if your goddamn teeth start growing mid-coitus, I’m definitely out,” Lou replied, looking mildly appalled.

Definitely not ready for mating marks.

Thank you to all of you who participated in my 12 Days of Bookmas last month! It was the first time I'd done anything like that, and I will definitely be doing something similar this year.

In case you missed it, check out the link below to grab the free bonus short story, A Goldilocks Christmas. It's 9000 words of cozy cuteness with a sprinkling of smut, and you know Ria's banter is on fine form as always.
